Prominent Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) athlete Mikey Musumeci has publicly challenged YouTube personality Sneako to an MMA fight. This unexpected proposition arises amidst Musumeci’s stated plans for a potential MMA debut later in 2024.
The unorthodox nature of the challenge stems not only from Musumeci’s background in BJJ, but also from Sneako’s lack of experience in mixed martial arts. While recent years have witnessed the increased involvement of YouTube figures in boxing, MMA has remained largely untouched by this trend. Jake Paul, with his recent PFL contract, stands as the sole exception.
Musumeci’s surprise callout, preceded by cryptic pronouncements on bullying, appears motivated by Sneako’s past criticisms of him and BJJ. Sneako has made disparaging remarks towards Musumeci and the martial art, prompting Musumeci’s seemingly combative response.
Here, the BJJ expert called out Sneako in a recent Instagram video and said: “So today I’m going to talk about bullies. Bullies are weak people that make fun of others around them to give themselves relevance and make themselves feel good. They pick on the differences of humans, which is the most beautiful part of humans, their uniqueness. I really don’t like bullies, guys.
“There’s this guy named Sneako, making fun of me, making fun of my friend, making fun of jiu-jitsu. He calls himself a boxer, I’m a jiu-jitsu guy. Let’s have an MMA fight. I challenge Sneako to an MMA fight. I’m going to shut his mouth and I’m gonna take the bully’s lunch money.”
