Egg Vending Machine In Ireland Sells 30 Free-Range Eggs For Just $7

If you are looking for some cheap eggs, you might want to consider heading to Ireland.

The official Facebook page of FOODbible shared a recent video showing how a couple was able to get 30 free-range eggs for just $7 from an egg vending machine. Yes, $7.

30 eggs for $7

The video showed the man, who is a film director according to his social media accounts, approaching an egg vending machine situated by a farm in County Offaly in Ireland.

The egg vending machine works like other vending machines, like a soda vending machine, except that it has drawers where the customer can get the eggs they purchased.

The man, Aaron Craig, tapped his payment card and waited for one of the drawers to open for the eggs he bought.

Surprisingly and interesting, what he got were 30 pieces of free-range eggs for only $7.

“Oh my, this was $7?” Craig exclaimed, showing the eggs to his partner. “… I had no idea what I was getting… This would have been a thousand dollars in America.”

The woman also couldn’t hide her delight.

Free-range eggs

What they got were actually free-range eggs. Free-range eggs are different from the usual eggs as they come from hens that have some sort of access to the outdoors.

It has been said that free-range eggs are more beneficial for the health since they contain six grams of protein, 70 milligrams of omega-3 fatty acids, high levels of lutein and zeaxanthin – which lower your risk of vision loss), and health doses of Vitamins A, D and E.
