Elsa Majimbo, an influential Kenyan Internet comedienne, recently took to TikTok to share with her viewers how she does not like inviting people to her residence as some tend to “overstay.”
In one of her TikTok posts, she said she has reduced the number of people who know her address to only three.
This is because, according to her, when people come over to her house, they would overstay until midnight or through the night, which she said made her very uncomfortable.
“I don’t invite people to my place, and this is the reason why, because of the people who used to come to my place and never leave,” she disclosed. “It’s 11.00 p.m, go home, it’s midnight, go home, we are already in the next day. I moved my address because of such people. Like three people on this planet know my address.”
She added that knowing when to leave somebody’s place as a guest is important as it means respecting the house owner’s personal space.
“Know what time to go home, it’s very important,” the comedienne declared.
Named as one of Forbes 30 Under 30 personalities this year, Majimbo dropped out of college to pursue comedy. She never let herself lose hold of that dream. During the pandemic, she was able to build large audiences on Instagram and TikTok by posting parodies of the quarantine.
In 2022, she bought a house in Los Angeles as a birthday gift for herself.
