Fashion Blogger, Influencer Shea Marie Isn’t Afraid To Take The Road Less Traveled

Shea Marie, a 36-year-old fashion influencer, one of the world’s original fashion bloggers, and now a business owner, recently did an interview with Harper’s BAZAAR Australia, sharing how she is not afraid to take the road less traveled and be one of the first to do things. 

“The most important thing to be when building SAME was that the brand would be able to live on its own with or without me attached to it,” said Marie. “I want the brand to be successful and loved on its own.”

SAME is a designer line of swimwear handmade and crafted from the highest quality Italian swim fabrics. 

Before she founded this luxury swimwear brand in 2015, Marie was a fashion blogger. She described how the digital landscape during that time was so much different from what we have today. 

That was an era where blogging and social media were still uncharted territories for most, and Instagram was yet to emerge as a defining media and marketing tool. There weren’t so many opportunities online, but Marie thought differently.

She courageously stepped into the dark, carving a path that many content creators of today would follow. 

“I saw how quickly the rise of social media (especially Instagram) happened, and how my life and career changed drastically in a short amount of time,” Marie explained, of launching SAME. “I was always precautious that it wouldn’t last forever, and wanted to build my own brand that would be long-lasting.”

As of press time, she has 1.7 million followers on Instagram, also the founder of a skincare brand called The Feelist, and was named as one of the top content creators in fashion by Forbes.
