Influencer, blogger, and stylist Chriselle Lim is one of the guests and panel of experts at TheWrap’s annual Power Women Summit held last Tuesday at The Maybourne Beverly Hills.
The event has been bringing together today’s leading women in entertainment and media for a day of inspiration, insights, and discussion.
This year’s Power Women Summit follows the theme “Resilience,” convening not only influencers like Lim, but also top celebrities like Tia Mowry and Maria Menounos.
“2023 has been a year of unprecedented industry upheaval, challenging leaders to be more resilient and innovative than ever before,” the event’s founder and TheWrap editor-in-chief, Sharon Waxman, said. “We know that it is incredibly important for our community of women to come together in person to recharge and reconnect.”
In the panel, Lim joined celebrity stylist Candice Lambert, stylist and Lalaluxe founder Nicole Pollard Bayme, executive stylist and The Clothing Therapist founder Dana Asher-Levine, and Wyeth creator, founder and creative director Jacey Duprie.
One of the things that the panel talked about is understanding who you are at this moment of your life and career.
To discuss this, the 38-year-old stylist shared her personal experience. She said it took 35 years before she figured out who she really is.
They also said that investing in how you look is very important.
“I always say invest in the things that look and feel really good on you,” Lim echoed. “The classics and the basics: the blazers, the jeans, the slacks, the trousers, the white tea, the white blouse, and then, you know, if you have a budget, like every season, maybe you explore different fun things to add to your wardrobe.”
Aside from being a stylist and influencer, Lim is also a mom and the owner of Phlur, a fragrance brand.
