Influencer, Stylist Wisdom Kaye Turns Anime ‘One Piece’ Into High Fashion

Influencer, model, and stylist Wisdom Kaye is showing us what it means to introduce high fashion to the phenomenal anime “One Piece.”

Lately, he took to Instagram to reveal 35 outfits inspired by the anime and its characters.

Some of the most remarkable pieces from this new collection include him wearing swordsman Roronoa Zoro in a green Maison Margiela coat, treasure hunter and thief Nami in an orange-patterned Jean Paul Gaultier top and No Faith Studios pants, Usopp with an Hermès bag, and so much more.

He also combined his “One Piece” outfits with brands like Chanel, Gucci, Dries Van Noten, Yohji Yamamoto, and Chrome Hearts.

“One Piece” has several characters, and as much as the 22-year-old stylist wanted to do them all, he believed it was “ambitious,” so he just picked some characters.

“The initial goal was to style EVERY One Piece character but after styling and I was like 15 characters in I was like how many mfs are actually in this show? There’s over a thousand. So I had to cut it down to what was humanly possible and just have 32. I Could’ve done 900 tho at least but wanted to make this digestible,” he said.

“One Piece” is an anime that tells the story of a group called the Straw Hat Pirates, led by the charming Monkey D. Luffy, as they search for a long-lost treasure.

The anime received even more hype when Netflix decided to do a live-action adaptation of it.

Kaye also shared how this project is memorable for him as the first toy he had was actually a Monkey D. Luffy action figure.
