According to the American Osteopathic Association, yoga provides a lot of benefits for its practitioner. These include promoting flexibility, muscle strength and toning, a balanced metabolism, athletic performance, cardiovascular health, and so much more.
Those health benefits are for humans doing yoga. But what if animals like this pink flamingo also do yoga? Will they get the same benefits?
A recent video was posted on Facebook by Try Not to Laugh and shows a pink flamingo interrupting a woman’s yoga session – to show off its own yoga postures.
As of press time, the Facebook video has already been viewed a staggering 45 million times! That’s like the population in Argentina already. Plus, it has also gotten 840,000 reactions so far.
“Your one friend who is always up for sunrise yoga! (emojis),” Try Not to Laugh captioned their post.
The netizens are, of course, loving what they are seeing.
“Wow so amazing (emojis),” Facebook netizen Joany Joy Alissa commented.
Some are amazed by the flamingo’s cuteness.
“They (flamingos) are very beautiful, they [love] to dance better than you to show [how it’s done],” commented Jerry Ken Ingram.
And, that flamingo really wanted to show humans how yoga is done. Sharing a space on the woman’s yoga mat, the bird was stretching its neck and head down to the floor, doing what it seemed like a sun salutation in yoga.
The bird is even better, very flexible, as humans would usually find it hard to do and follow the yoga poses.
The woman whose practice got interrupted did not mind. She was in full smiles watching the flamingo do its yoga. Her yoga mate beside her was also seen in the video filming the flamingo.
Will that bird be your flamin-yo-ga partner? Share us what you think in the comments section below.
