If you are not particular about spacious rooms if you are visiting Japan, you might want to stay in this thin apartment in Tokyo. Internet content creators call it “the world’s thinnest apartment.”
Facebook video creator Supercar Blondie took netizens on a tour around this thin apartment.
“We managed to squeeze our way into the world’s thinnest apartment!” Supercar Blondie wrote in the caption.
It has a triangular shape, and the building was placed on a plot seemingly meant to fit a singular parking space for cars.
To let you visualize, the main area is measured only 2.5 meters long from front to back. Unbelievable.
But, don’t be fooled by its looks. It’s got everything you need to live comfortably.
It has a shower room with a bathtub even, a cooking station, a living area of 11 square meters, and a spacious cabinet for storage, which the Facebook video creator said could even fit one person if they wish for a space to sleep.
However, expect yourself to squeeze yourself in the areas. Plus, the bathtub, the sink, and the cooking station, among others, of course, had to be smaller. And, the room where the toilet and sink are is the thinnest part of the apartment. You might get uncomfortable.
But you’ll save bucks, and that’s the biggest draw of this thin apartment. According to Supercar Blondie, renting it costs about $266 per month.
Netizens are impressed.
Francesco Renna loved it, and even suggested, “I just would mod the cabinet in a fridge and the fridge in a cabinet, all the rest looks perfect (emoji)”
“For that price, I can definitely do it,” said Moe Moe.
