Popular Twitch streamer Pokimane has issued an apology to her followers who she identified as “broke” after they criticized the price of the cookies from her new business.
During her stream last Saturday, the 27-year-old streamer reacted to comments made about the $28 price tag of her cookies, which characterized the followers who criticized her as “broke.”
“This has to be a joke. @pokimanelol there are people that work extremely hard daily doing jobs most would consider not as fun as streaming. There are better ways to word this, this is damaging not only to you but those who are in business with you and this cookie,” @ChaseDeMoor posted on X.
Pokimane already issued an apology on Monday.
“while what i said was 100% intended to be a joke, i see why it came off as insensitive and i apologize for that,” she tweeted. “i also understand the current price of the cookies may be expensive for some, and promise we’ll continue to consider pricing to keep myna as affordable as possible.”
A week ago, the Twitch streamer on Instagram announced her new business called Myna Snacks.
“it’s finally here… introducing my new company: myna snacks! (emoji) i could never find the perfect healthy snack that ACTUALLY tasted good, so i made one!… the midnight mini cookies are made w/ real, non-gmo ingredients + have added vitamin d for those who are in front of screens often, like me… i’m so nervous but excited for this new endeavor, and i really hope you guys love these as much as i do (emoji),” she posted.
Pokimane is a Moroccan-Canadian social media personality, Twitch streamer, and YouTuber. She is best known for her Twitch livestreams, where she broadcasts video game content, mostly for “League of Legends” and “Fortnite.”
