This week, controversial streamer Sneako visited Saudi Arabia and yesterday visited Mecca where he wore a traditional robe. His trip to the holiest location in Islam was documented on his social media accounts. Here, he captioned the visit on his Instagram account by writing ‘Praise be to God’ in Arabic.
This comes months after Sneako first claimed to have converted to Islam. Since then, the internet has been awash with rumors as to whether Sneako actually converted, or whether he did it as a publicity stunt. After this week, it looks like those rumors have been put to bed and Sneako is very serious about his faith. He also did a podcast discussing his faith while in the country.
The move was well received on his Instagram account, where over 350,000 people liked his photos of Saudi Arabia. Similarly, the comments also praised his decision and wished him guidance on his spiritual journey.
After claiming he was Muslim earlier this year, many were initially skeptical. This followed shortly after Andrew Tate had also converted. Here, some claimed that Sneako had done this to emulate his rival as he has sometimes been accused of being a ‘Tate clone’ for mirroring similar views and lifestyle choices. Whether Sneako truly embraces Islam in the long run remains to be seen. However, it looks as though right now, the religion has happily embraced him as his visit to the Middle East has been met with hospitality.
