Today, it seems that the world is already revolving around influencers and content creators. You’ve heard of partnerships with influencers like that of Charlie D’Amelio with Dunkin’ and that of MrBeast with Samsung Galaxy.
This time, it’s all about publishing company Bad Egg teaming up with Jacksepticeye to launch a series of cross-platform and multiverse comics called “The Altrverse.”
Forget about DC and Marvel comics for a while.
So far, there are two stories unveiled under “The Altrverse,” but Bad Egg said there will be more to come.
The first, titled “Void Silver,” explores a version of contemporary London where magic is real, but only certain people are trained in how to use it. “Void Silver” is written by Alejandro Arbona and illustrated by Suzi Blake.
The second is titled “The Somewhat Incredible Jackie-Boy Man!,” and follows Jackie, a 20-something guy living in a big city working a ton of weird jobs in the gig economy. This story is written by James Asmus, and features the prologue story art by Connie Daidone and the main series art by Megan Huang.
The first “The Altrverse” comic is releasing this November 22nd, but interested buyers can already pre-order the issue between October 20th and 23rd via the official website of Bad Egg.
Jacksepticeye, whose real name is Seán William McLoughlin, is an Irish YouTuber known for his content and vlogs on gaming.
Bad Egg, meanwhile, is a joint venture between Mana Talent Group, a talent management company, and Warren James, merchandising firm. The publishing company launched just in 2022.
