The dad of the D’Amelios, Marc, is not a fan of the NBA, particularly when it comes to her daughter Dixie’s relationship goals. He roasted Dixie for “dating half the NBA,” telling her that at least she should choose “a decent team.”
‘Dating half the NBA’
In the new episodes of “The D’Amelio Show” released on Wednesday, the 21-year-old singer and social media personality shared insights about her relationship status, saying that only “psychopaths” are interested in hanging out with her.
She said she does not want to like anyone, that she’s “so emotionally unavailable,” and does “not care to like anyone,” adding that she just wants people to like her and “be in love” with her.
Marc, 54, commented on her statements, claiming that Dixie is “dating half the NBA.”
“Stop! Don’t say that,” his daughter responded, seemingly horrified.
“Seriously, if you’re going to date somebody, [you’ve] gotta date somebody on a decent team,” her dad clapped back.
Is there a secret suitor?
During the episode, the name of her potential suitor was bleeped. But, Dixie was shown in a FaceTime call where she warned the caller that she was filming. The caller, then, was heard saying, “Alright, babe, call me later.”
Dixie has so far been linked in film producer Griffin Johnson, TikToker Noah Beck, and the National Hockey League’s Anaheim Ducks’ center Trevor Zegras.
The NBA might have something to say about this.
