To produce a breathtaking performance on stage presented to TV viewers from all over the world is already a challenging task for humans. What more for pets!
But, Adrian Stoica, a 45-year-old dog trainer who hails from Italy, has proven this isn’t really that challenging, especially that he and his Border Collie are the newly-crowned “America’s Got Talent” Season 18 champions. Yes, a dog won this phenomenal talent show.
“[When they called] my name, it was amazing, unbelievable,” Stoica said moments after being announced the competition’s winner. “Emotional. Thank you to the judges, I love you.”
Stoica is a dog trainer and performer who has devoted his life to the art and science of canine instruction. He is right when he chose to feature his dog, the Border Collie named Hurricane, to perform various acts on the “America’s Got Talent” stage.
During Stoica and Hurricane’s winning act, the dog trainer and his pet played as himself and a director, respectively, to the tune of Queen’s “Crazy Little Thing Called Love.”
But what impressed the judges and the world were the acts that the dog performed on stage. It was such a very rare spectacle to see.
Hurricane made the viewers laugh and smile as he helped Stoica dress up, turning his head away to tell Stoica he did not like his wardrobe choices, until they both found a good coat. Impressive.
The Border Collie also tried giving a flower to the lady at the table on stage, Sofia Vergara, but it was a cardboard image of her. So Hurricane “whispered” something to Stoica suggesting that he invite the real Vergara on stage, and they did.
The act ended with Hurricane opening a box with a heart-shaped balloon inside. The crowd went wild.
“Well, if you need me any other time to be part of your act, you know where to find me,” Vergara commented. “Fantastic.”
Stoica and Hurricane bested 10 other finalists.
