Twenty-three-year-old Khaby Lame is reportedly is making hundreds of thousands of dollars, get this, per post, even if he does not say a single word in his videos.
Khaby’s rags-to-riches story started when he became a victim of layoffs during the COVID-19 pandemic, so he instead passed off time by posting on TikTok clips of himself gaming or dancing.
But, he shortly found his niche by being known as a famous TikToker who creates and posts reaction videos, just like the others, except that he is silent or does not say a word in those clips.
And his fame does not end there. Khaby has also worked with renowned brands like Pepsi, Google, and Boss.
In the Top Creators 2023 list that Forbes released yesterday, he ranked at number 11th.
“For Lame, silence is golden. Lame, who in 2019 was assembling car filters in a factory outside Turin, now has more than 240 million social media followers and has scored lucrative partnerships with Hugo Boss, State Farm, and Middle East bank QNB. This fall, he was featured as a character in Fortnite, the blockbuster multiplayer video game with more than 230 million monthly players,” the magazine pointed out.
According to Forbes, his earnings are pegged at $16.5 million.
