If you are a fan of the hit reality competition on TV “America’s Got Talent,” you may perhaps be among those stunned and awed with the performance of Avantgardey, a girl dance group from Japan. Or, if you just heard about them lately, for sure, you were also turned into a fan.
Avantgardey, a girl dance group from Japan consisting of 20 members, returned to the “America’s Got Talent” stage with their mind-blowing dance performance to “Idol” by Yoasobi, a Japanese musical duo.
In the video of their performance shared around and trending online, with all them wearing blue dresses on top of white polos, which will remind you of that of Wednesday Addams, they danced to the beat of their chosen song, impressing the judges and the world with their choreography ensemble that left the audiences screaming with their every move.
As expected, they earned the loudest applause from the viewers in the venue, and even a standing ovation from the “America’s Got Talent” judges.
You can watch Avantgardey’s recent performance below.
“This is a great example of how dance has certainly gone interesting,” judge Simon Cowell commented.
Meanwhile, Sofia Vergara, a Colombian-American actress who is also one of the judges, said, “… So unique… So weird and scary that I love it! It’s like something I’ve never seen on the dance floor. You guys are amazing!”
During their Live Show performance last September 19th, Avantgardey said they came to AGT because they want the world to know their name.
“America’s Got Talent” is now on its 18th season, believe it or not. That performance was from the Qualifiers round.
Aside from Avantgardey, 82nd Airborne Chorus, Adrian Stoica and Hurricane, Ahren Belisle, Anna DeGuzman, Chibi Unity, Lavender Darcangelo, Murmuration, Mzansi Youth Choir, Putri Ariani, and Ramadhani Brothers all advanced to the next round.
You can still be part of the action. Catch “America’s Got Talent” every Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET.
