During a recent livestream conversation, Eddie Craven, the head of Kick, expressed his interest in having influencer Adin Ross travel to North Korea for an in-real-life (IRL) streaming interview with the country’s leader, Kim Jong Un.
Back in February 2023, Adin Ross, an internet personality, announced his exclusive streaming contract with Kick, alongside TrainwrecksTV, marking one of the initial major deals of this kind.
Since then, Adin has garnered attention for various reasons, including sharing his struggles with addiction and experiencing swatting incidents.
During their discussion, Eddie Craven proposed the idea of live-streaming from North Korea to Adin. He said, “I know it sounds like I’m joking, but I genuinely believe that going to North Korea and offering them an opportunity to showcase their world could be possible. Let’s consider it, no pressure.”
Adin responded with enthusiasm, assuring Eddie, “Alright, I’m on board, Eddie. I won’t let you down. I’ve come to the realization that maybe my purpose here is to contribute to world peace.”
Adin also extended an invitation to Kim Jong Un, expressing his desire to take the North Korean leader out for lunch before conducting the interview. He said, “Let me know if we can arrange that.”
It’s worth noting that the likelihood of such an interview taking place is very low. According to the U.S. Department of State, U.S. citizens are generally not allowed to enter North Korea without special permission, and such permission is typically granted only for purposes beneficial to the country.
However, US citizens have entered North Korea legally in the past, with the most common route being through the embassy in China.
