However, she notably scaled back her streaming activities in 2022, expressing her desire to explore alternative avenues of content creation, such as crafting videos for TikTok and engaging in vlogging on YouTube.Subsequently, her presence on Twitch has seen a reduction in activity, although she maintains a somewhat regular streaming schedule. Yet, her absence from platform broadcasts has extended to a period of seven days, coupled with a lack of engagement across her social media profiles spanning multiple weeks.

In this context, Pokimane has chosen to intermittently update her fanbase through Instagram stories. On August 15, she shared a brief message, elaborating on the reasons behind her infrequent posts.

According to her, the streamer has been allocating time to prioritize her mental well-being and engage in undisclosed behind-the-scenes projects. Furthermore, she disclosed the recent occurrence of a familial loss, necessitating her involvement in assisting her relatives during this distressing period.

This news initially surfaced on August 12, conveyed through a tweet wherein Pokimane announced the cancellation of her scheduled stream for the day. It became apparent that she opted for an extended hiatus to provide support to her family amidst these challenging circumstances.
