Ingenious Warehouse Worker Earns Pokemon Go Rewards While At Job

Thanks to their job at a warehouse, a Pokemon Go enthusiast has found it easy to quickly unlock in-game rewards.

Niantic’s Pokemon-themed augmented reality (AR) game offers players walking bonuses on a weekly basis, with rewards ranging from 5 km (about 3 miles) to 100 km (about 62 miles) based on distance traveled.

One player shared their impressive weekly walking progress on Reddit, revealing that they managed to walk over 102 km in just one week, largely due to their warehouse job. In other words, they were able to unlock rewards while still getting paid on the clock. Obviously if the bosses can see that work is getting done, they aren’t going to care what apps are running in the background on workers phones.

The player humorously captioned the screenshot, “What four days of warehouse work looks like in Pokemon Go.” They accumulated over 150,000 steps during that short period, effortlessly unlocking each walking milestone in the game. As you can see, the warehouse worker was easily able to surpass 100km within a single week.

While fellow players were impressed by the achieved rewards, some questioned the low number of incubated and hatched eggs. The original poster admitted that they sometimes forget to do it consistently but try their best. They assured others that if they could see the previous week’s progress, there would be more egg hatching activity.

In response to queries about the number of Riolu hatched, the player humorously mentioned having received a significant amount, but many duplicates had already been transferred.
